Clara Marie "Katie" Ford, 80, of Barnesville, Ohio died Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Wheeling Hospital. She was born April 9, 1932 in Centerville, Ohio, daughter of the late Perry Griffin and Clara Tschapatt Griffin. Clara was devoted to her family and was active in First Baptist Church Barnesville. She was a volunteer naturalist for Lorain County Metro Parks. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, sewing, crafts, and reading. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. Clara is survived by her husband, William A. Ford of Barnesville, Ohio; daughters, Susan Nelson, Dottie (Michael) Minnich all of Barnesville, Ohio, Andrea (Paul) Elek of Elyria, Ohio, and Sharon (David) Herron of Wellington, Ohio; son, David (Maggie) Ford of Massillon, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mildred Weekly of Barnesville, Ohio. Family and friends may visit, Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 702 East Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
