Clara L. (Moore) Williams, 100, of Lisle, IL, formerly of Crawford St., Martins Ferry, OH died Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at Snow Valley Nursing & Rehab. Center, Lisle, IL. She was born Oct. 31, 1908 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Harry F. Moore and May (Schucht) Moore Conaway. She retired as the office manager for the late Dr. Charles Lee of Bridgeport, OH. Clara was a founding member of the Grace Presbyterian Church of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Williams, her son Jack A. Williams, a brother Howard Conaway, and two sisters Helen Lewis and Ruth Kinnan. Surviving are her daughter Jane Anne (William) Brown of Wheaton, IL, three granddaughters Cynthia (James) Vanderploeg, Janet (Nick) Galasso, and Linda (Tom) O'Brien, five great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and a sister Charlotte Lewis of New Castle, PA. Friends will be received Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009 from 10 am until time of services at 12:30 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH with Rev. William O. Webster officiating.
