Cleo Coss Wees Kemp, 92, of Morristown, Ohio, died Friday, January 15, 2016 at Forest Hill Retirement Community in St. Clairsville. She was born September 19, 1923 in Bridgeport, Ohio, daughter of the late Paul and Blanche Huston Coss. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Cleo and her first husband, George, owned the Wees Car Hop on Route 40 for seven years. She worked at Wees Drive-In, owned by her son Fred and his wife Sandra, until she was 75 years old. A faithful servant, Cleo loved reading her bible and was devoted to her bible studies. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, George Frederick Wees; sister, Wilma Coss Lofton; and brother, Thomas G. Coss; Cleo is survived by her sons, George Frederick (Sandra) Wees of Belmont, Ohio, Dennis Craig (Patty) Wees of Barnesville, Ohio; grandchildren, Bradley, Brian, Brent, and Shane Wees, Stacie Wees Pohlman; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Bella, and Lydia Wees, Noah and Jonah Pohlman; brother, Charles Coss and sister, Dorothy Coss Subasic both of Bridgeport, Ohio. Cleo is also preceded in death by her second husband, Clarence N. Kemp and step-daughter, Carol Jean Lucas. She is also survived by her step-daughters, Pauline Jarrett, Freda Powell both of Bethesda, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
