Obituary

Cleo "Pat" (Koch) Soltis, 92, of Bridgeport died Saturday July 12, 2014 at Valley Hospice Center North Steubenville. She was born July 27, 1921 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Charles E. and Georgia E. (Sivert) Koch. She was a retired LPN for Community Hospital (Bellaire Hospital), a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Wolfhurst, the CWC, the Catholic Daughters of St. Anthony Court 1414, the LPNAO Belmont and the state of Ohio for 35 years, a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader. She also was a member of Ladies Aux. of the Wolfhurst Fire Dept., and an avid bowler. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Andy P. Soltis three brothers, five sisters, two grandchildren David Soltis II, and Joshua Schoonmaker. Pat is survived by four sons Joseph (Patricia) Strauss of Bridgeport, John (Linda) Strauss of Merced Calf., Andrew (Susie) Soltis of Bellaire, and David (Kathy) Soltis of Freeport, two daughters Beth (Rick) Schoonmaker, and Shelly (Dale) Gray both of Follansbee, WV, a sister Doris L. Stillwell of Rayland, 13 grandchildren, 25 great grand children, 10 great-great grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Tuesday July 15, 2014 from 4-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday July 16, 2014 at 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church Wolfhurst with Fr. John Mucha officiating, interment in St. Anthony Cemetery Blaine.
