Clifford H. Smith, 87, of Belmont, Ohio passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Acuity Specialty Hospital in Bellaire, Ohio. He was born February 6, 1924 in Egypt Valley, Ohio to Waldo Smith and Madie Barr Smith. Clifford was a retired manager after 35 years of service with Holly Memorial Gardens, a member of the Uniontown Presbyterian Church, and had also attended New Athens Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Gary Smith; brother, Kenneth and his wife Grace Smith; brother-in-law, Dr. John A. Brown. Clifford is survived by his wife, Sarah B. Caldwell Smith; daughters, Kathy (Richard) Ford of Raleigh, North Carolina, Donna (Timothy) Clairborne, and Charlene (James) Szaller all of Westlake, Ohio; grandchildren, Nathan Ford, Sarah Garner, Chelsea Garner, and Madie Szaller; sister, Lucille Brown of Bethesda, Ohio; and brother, Glenn (Nell) Smith of Odessa, Texas. Family and friends may call Sunday 2:00 t 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio. Services will be conducted Monday at 1:00 PM. Reverend Edward Mooney will be officiating. Interment will take place at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio.
