Clyde L. Bondy, 78, of Alledonia, OH, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010 in East Ohio Regional Hospital Long Term Care, Martins Ferry. He was born Jan. 24, 1932 in Martins Ferry a son of Freda L. (Walker) Bondy of Martins Ferry and the late Albert R. Bondy. Clyde retired from Ormet Corp. and he was also a retired farmer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Martins Ferry and a life member of V.F.W. Post #8848 of Colerain, OH. Clyde served in the U.S. Navy Korean War. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brother John R. Bondy. Surviving are his mother of Martins Ferry, two sisters Jackaline (Don) Stutz of Kettering, OH and JoAnn (Aurel) Muntean of Colerain, sister-in-law Mary R. Bondy of Alledonia, OH, good friend E. Rose Ridgeley of Martins Ferry, several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Friday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 10:00 am with Rev. Robert J. Romick officiating. Burial follows in Armstrong Cemetery, Armstrong Mills, OH. Military honors will be held at the funeral home prior to services by the Belmont County Council of the V.F.W.
