Curtis D. McCormick, 81, of Martins Ferry, Ohio, passed Wednesday June 21, 2017 at East Ohio Regional Hospital. He was born in McClaneville, Ohio on October 4, 1935, a son of the late John and Rosetta Thatcher McCormick. Curtis was a retired Coal Miner with Cravat Coal Co. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters: Kay Yocum, Betty Billington, Judy Beckett; brothers: John, Rick, Bill, Ronnie, Gene and Gary McCormick. Curtis is survived by a son Thomas Green of Bellaire, sisters: Shirley (Mark) Griffin of Bellaire, Lydia Garlo of Shadyside, several nieces and nephews including Rick McCormick Jr. and Justin McCormick and his loving dog Angel. Friends will be received Monday June 26, 2017 from 10 until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio with Rev. James Hoff officiating.
