Daisy N. (Womack) McGhee Pearson, 92 of Bridgeport, OH, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. She was born May 13, 1925 in Roxboro, NC a daughter of the late Percy and Pearl (Bumpus) Womack.
Daisy worked for several restaurants including the former Eric's Steak House and retired from Ohio County Senior Services. She was a member of Shiloh Temple Church of Bridgeport and a past member, past daughter and ruler of Guiding Light Temple #735 of Triadelphia.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands; Charlie G. McGhee and Thomas Pearson, her sons; George McGhee, John (J.C.) McGhee, James Norman, Charlie McGhee, Jr. and son-in-law Randolph Foston, her sisters; Annie Ester Connally, Lillie Williams, Gladys Black, Nannie McGhee, Dorothy Jeffers and step-children; Ronnie Pearson and Deanna Carson and an adopted son, Bobby McGhee.
Surviving are her daughters; Pauline (Donald) Foster of Wheeling, Pearl Foston of Bridgeport and Alice (Elijah) Hill of McMechen, WV, her sons; Percy (Melanie) McGhee of Bellaire, OH, Curtis (Sheila) McGhee of Bridgeport and Charles McGhee of Bellaire, OH, a step-daughter, Orlinda Pearson, sisters; Pearl Irvin, Estella Myers, Lola Garland, Carolyn Brandon and Gracie Farmer all of North Carolina, a brother, Percy Womack, Jr. of North Carolina and 159 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Friday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held, Saturday, December 16, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Shiloh Temple Apostolic Church, 117 1st St., Bridgeport, OH 43912 with Elder Tyron Spencer officiating. Burial follows in Linwood Cemetery, Blaine, OH.
