Together again
Dale M. Wiant, 97, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH died Friday, December 1, 2017 at Forest Hills Nursing Home. St. Clairsville, OH. He was born March 13, 1920 in Vandergrift, PA a son of the late W. H. Meade Wiant and Dora I. (Shook) Wiant.
Dale's lifetime employers included: former Burford Funeral Home, Cook-Waite Laboratories and Heslop Funeral Home.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Martins Ferry, OH where he served as a Deacon and Elder, American Legion Post #38, V. F. W., a life member of the Ohio Embalmer's Association and a veteran of the U. S. Army, W.W. II.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, of 67 years, Elizabeth "Liz" (Coleman) Wiant, and sisters, Ruth McSherry and Grace Kuckuck.
Surviving is his nephew Ted Kuckuck.
Friends will be received Tuesday, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry where services will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. with Revs. Dr. Bill N. Lawrence and David Stammerjohn officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry, OH.
Deacons Services will held Tuesday at 7:00 p. m. in the funeral home.
