Daniel J. "Dan Boy" Bennett, 68 of N. 4th St., Martins Ferry, OH died Sun. Feb. 20, 2005 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, WV. He was born Mar. 18, 1936 in Martins Ferry, OH a son of the late Alfred and Elma (Hart) Bennett. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #895 of Martins Ferry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers Harry, Walter, and Carl Bennett and three sisters Nina, Wilma and Mary Ann. Surviving are special friends whom he resided with Denise Church and J. D. Riesbeck, two brothers Robert Bennett and his wife Lou Ann of Bellaire and Peter Bennett of TX, a sister Marie Taylor and her husband of Howard of Colerain and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Fri, Feb. 25, 2005 from noon till time of service at 2:00 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH with Rev. William O. Webster officiating . Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry, OH.
