Daniel Edward Brown, 86, of Beallsville, Ohio and formerly of Powhatan Point, Ohio passed away Thursday, February 27, 2025 in the Arbors at Woodsfield.  He was born August 18, 1938 near Powhatan Point, a son of the late George and Dorothy Palmer Brown.

Daniel was a proud United States Army Veteran and a retired employee of the former Consol Coal #4 Mine.  He loved to travel, enjoyed fishing, camping and working on his family farm; but his happiest memories were made spending time with family.

In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Martha in 2011; daughters, Jane Smouse and Sharon Brown; a son, Larry Kisner, also an infant son; brothers, Roger Brown and Lester Brown.  Left to honor his memory are his wife, Mary Brown; his children, Linda (Russell) Gatten, Edna (Larry) Price, Sally (Brian) May, Virginia Kisner, Belinda Brown, Debbie Brown; also a daughter Sylvia; a sister, Barbara Ann Gallaher, a brother, Nathan (Donna) Brown,  several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home - Harper Chapel, Beallsville, Tuesday, March 4 from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 2pm.  Full Military Honors by Beallsville American Legion Post #768 will be conducted at the funeral home just prior to the funeral service.

Internment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
