Danny "Kirk" Smith, 61, of Flushing, Ohio, died Monday, March 28, 2016 at Acuity Specialty Hospital. He was born July 12, 1954 in Wheeling, West Virginia, son of Shirley Singer Smith and the late Carl Kirk Smith. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, Danny warmed the hearts of many. He was an avid golfer, sports enthusiast, and a jack of all trades. A very giving person, Danny was always willing to lend a helping hand. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Donald E. Grimes. Danny is survived by his wife, Patricia E. Smith of Flushing, Ohio; sons, Michael Kirk (Kimberly) Smith and Shane Edward (Brandy) Smith all of Flushing, Ohio; grandchildren, Kaylee M. Smith, Joclyn J. Smith, Derek Kirk Smith, Trevor M. Pritts, Zane T. Lyons, Emily Kellaway, Alli Kellaway; mother, Shirley Singer Smith of Flushing, Ohio; sister, Cari (Doug) Ruble of Visalia, California; brothers, Larry H. (Elizabeth) Smith of Pickerington, Ohio, Gary W. (Melissa) Smith of Flushing, Ohio; and mother-in-law, Nancy J. Grimes of Flushing, Ohio. Family and friends are welcome to visit, Saturday from noon until the time of service beginning at 2 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio.
