David A. Leach, 79, of Martins Ferry went to be with the Lord and Savior on Monday, July 20, 2026. He was born on November 1, 1946, in Martins Ferry, the son of the late Frank Amos Leach and Betty Mills.

David was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, a veteran of the US Army, and retiree of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp and Severstal Steel Mill. He was a man of many interests and hobbies which included working in his garage, fixing cars, carpentry, and woodworking, and was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he was known to be a “Jack of all Trades.” David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Georgia (Baker) Leach in 2016, grandson, Rick Carrel, and sister, Cheryl Leach-Boyd.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Lisa Leach, David (Kim) Leach, Jason (Lynette) Leach, grandchildren, Amos (Brittany) Leach, Emileigh and Haleigh Gildow, Joshua Leach, Nicholas (Natasha) Leach, great-grandchildren, David Leach IV, Roman Claudio, Forrest Todd, Remi June Garrison, Rocco Carrel, Vito and Leo Carrel, sister, Marsha (Twig) Norris, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received Monday, July 27, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, Ohio 43935. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, July 28, at 11am at the funeral home with Rev. David Demarest officiating. Burial to follow with full Military Honors being presented by the Belmont County Verterans Association at the Riverview Cemetery.
