David L. Linn, 72, of Mt. Pleasant Pike, Martins Ferry, OH died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007 at home. He was born Mar. 16, 1935 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Ross E. and Gertrude (Marr) Linn. He was retired from the former LaBelle Cut Nail Plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and a Baptist by faith. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Tom and Richard Linn and a granddaughter Jasmine Linn. Surviving are his wife Willa Jean (Lemmon) Linn, four daughters Rhonda (Eric) Abbott and Kathy Linn both of Columbus, OH, Lori Linn of Canton, OH and June Keszler of Martins Ferry, a son Michael (Sue) Lemmon of Martins Ferry, a brother Roger (Pamela) Linn and a sister Colletta (Butch) Steele both of Martins Ferry, and twelve grandchildren. Family and friends will be received Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Friday, Dec, 28, 2007 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Thomas N. Thomas officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Full military honors will be provided by the Belmont Co. Council of the VFW at the funeral home.
