MARTIN, David Harold, 66, of Bridgeport, Ohio, passed Friday November 8, 2013 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, W.Va. He was born in Wheeling on February 17, 1947, a son of the late Clarence and Eleanor Adams Martin. David was an employee of Kroger (Mt. de Chantel), a member of the Kirkwood Presbyterian Church, a U.S. Navy Veteran, and a retired Fire Chief of Brookside Fire Department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Cynthia "Cindy" Martin; and a brother Clarence "Bud" Martin. David is survived by a son David Martin and his wife Alishia of Bridgeport; two brothers: Donald (Jean) Martin of Bethlehem, WV., G. Edwin Martin of West Chester, PA., a sister Ellen (Tom) Gensor of Bloomingdale, Ohio; two grandsons: Dakota and Logan Martin; lifelong family friend Dr. Sheldon Pinsky; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. (Fire Dept. Services at 7:00pm), at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, where services will be held Tuesday November 12, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. David Demarest, officiating.
