David J. McCombs, 51, of Lincoln Ave. Steubenville, OH died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008 at Trinity West, Steubenville. He was born Feb. 18, 1957 in Glen Dale, WV a son of Spence McCombs of Martins Ferry, OH and the late Eileen (Rogerson) McCombs. He was a salesman for the former Ohio Valley Window, Wheeling, WV, and a member of the First Christian Church, McMechen, WV. Surviving in addition to his father are a step-mother Libby (Mihok) Wheeler McCombs,a son Christopher McCombs, a daughter Jennifer McCombs both of Ada, OH, a brother Brent (Karen) McCombs of Houston, TX, six sisters Barbara (Bob) Oravec of Branford, CT, Patty (Don) Cline of Martins Ferry, Lynn Burton, Penny (Tom) Saucier, Donna (Dan) Baron, and Lisa Lovell all of Bloomington, IN, several nieces and nephew, and his close friend and soul mate Pamela Tice of Steubenville, OH. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church, Martins Ferry, OH with Rev. Van Fisher officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements by Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH.
