David loved squirrel and frog hunting, fishing and camping with his sons and family. He also liked old cars and doing woodwork. His favorite pastime though, was playing music on his guitar with his family and friends. He loved the old-time country and bluegrass music, as well as cowboy and gospel songs. David was married 30 years to his first wife, Helen, who passed away in 1987. He remarried in 1994 to Carol Eaton Morrison, from Bridgeport, Ohio, who passed away in 2015.
David's younger brother, Donald Allen Morrison preceded him in death in 1939; his father, David Lee Morrison Sr. in 1973; and his mother, Doris Stobbs Morrison in 2023 at the age of 109.
