David William Scarnechia 70, of Wheeling, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, in Wheeling Hospital. He was born on July 31, 1955, in Wheeling, a son of the late Clem and Mildred Scarnechia. Dave retired from Murray Energy, was a member of the UMWA, enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Ann (Elkins) Scarnechia; four children, Renee (Joe) Jones, Brandi (Nate) Martin, Charon (Tommy) Beabout, and Virlie (Brandon) Hardesty; and seven grandchildren.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Lorraine Scarnechia; and a brother, Bob Scarnechia.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside.
