DAVID JOSEPH ""PIDGY"" SHUTEK, 31, of Lansing, died Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio after a lifelong illness with Cystic Fibrosis. He was born August 21, 1977 in Wheeling, WV. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Jacob Shutek, Jr.; maternal grandparents Shirley and Ernest Pyatt; maternal great grandparents Emmett and Norma McNinch and uncle Bill Pyatt. He was a member of the St. Clairsville Church of Christ and the Bridgeport Bulldog Chain Gang. David is survived by his parents Joseph and Tammy (Pyatt) Shutek; a son Austin David McAtee; a sister Shannon Shutek and his paternal grandmother Joyce Shutek all of Lansing; also surviving are aunts and uncles Scott and Lisa Chapman; Ernie and Pam Pyatt; Doug and Kathy Mann and Michael Shutek. Visitation will be Monday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 am with Everett Hutson officiating. Interment will follow at Linwood Cemetery, Blaine.
