David "Dave" Thompson, Sr., 71, of Colerain Pike, Martins Ferry, OH died Sun., Nov. 5, 2006 at home. He was born Jul., 31, 1935 in Canton, OH a son of the late Price L. and Nellie (Turney) Thompson. He was retired from the Navarre Plant of Nickles Bakery with forty-one years of service, and a member of the Trinity Assembly of God, Martins Ferry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Joel Thompson and a granddaughter. Surviving are his wife of twenty-two years Roseleen (Platt) Thompson, four sons David (Brenda) Thompson, Jr., and James (Diane) Thompson both of Navarre, OH, Bobby (Beth) Thompson of Quaker City, OH and Chris Thompson and his companion Mackenzie of Dundee, OH, a daughter April Thompson and her companion Matt of Fremont, OH, a brother Richard (Imogene) Thompson of Huma, AZ, ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his special companion Willy Thompson. Friends will be received Thurs. Nov. 9, 2006 from 10:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM with Pastor Roland Boggs officiating at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Assembly of God, 401 Broadway St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935.
