Delbert W. Finney Sr., 92, of Martins Ferry, OH, passed on Friday November 6, 2015 at 8:00a.m. at home. He was born April 18, 1923, in Martins Ferry, a son of the late Earl and Alice Major Finney. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a grandson Delbert W. Finney III "Pete". He was a retired employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Yorkville Plant. He was a member of the Redman Club and Eagles of Martins Ferry, and the Scotch Ridge Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife of 66 years Clara Chalfant Finney and children: Janet of Martins Ferry, William "Slick" (Jull) of Tiltonsville, Delbert Jr. (Janet), Alice, Patrick all of Martins Ferry, Joseph (Robin) of Tiltonsville and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, also a special granddaughter Sarah Jayne Finney "his little nurse"; two sisters: Emma K. Gilbert, Dorthea Stingle; two brothers: Eugene and Wilber.
