Obituary

Dema C. "DeDe" Schambach 73 of Bridgeport passed away Monday May 22, 2023, at Wheeling Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 6, 1949, in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Clyde and Gladys (Baker) Schambach.

She was a retired Lab Analyst for Swisher International of Wheeling for 34 years, a member of the Riverview Baptist Church, the St. Clairsville Eagles, and a Graduate of Bellaire High School Class of 1968. DeDe also was a Cleveland Browns Fan, and was an avid Bowler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Lawrence "Bill" Schambach, Clyde E. "Sonny" Schambach, Marylin Everson, and Betty Tharp.

DeDe is survived by her daughter Renee Schambach Bennett of Bridgeport, a sister Peggy (Larry) Gress, and three grandchildren David L. (Sarah) Johnson, Dylan T. (Julia) Bennett, and Ariel Bennett, three great grandchildren D.J. Johnson, Gavin Johnson, and Brooks Johnson, also many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Thursday May 25, 2023, from 12 noon till 8 pm, where services will be held on Friday at 11 am with Dr. Kevin Rowland officiating, interment in Belmont Memorial Park St, Clairsville. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to the Bridgeport Fire and Emergency Department 301 Main St. Bridgeport, Ohio 43912.
