Dennis L. Butler, 63, of Bridgeport, OH crossed over on August 16th , 2022, at Wheeling Hospital surrounded by his children and loved ones. Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Isaac, brothers Terry and Marvin, and his sister Sally. Dennis is survived by his mother, Shirley of Bridgeport; brothers Lewis, Robert, Herman, and David; sisters Sheila Richmond, Amy (Sean) Lindsey; his children Tia (Tony) Schwartz and Trent; stepchildren Michael Adams, Michael Waugh, Kiersten Eichner. Dennis had 5 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his wife of 16 years, Cindy Butler. Dennis was a proud husband, father, an even prouder grandfather, loving son, caring brother, a proud Marine, and a friend to everyone he knew. Dennis never met a stranger. Dennis took his last breath, in his long battle with liver cancer, surrounded by his children and those he loved most. Visitation will be at Wilson Funeral Home in Bridgeport Monday, August 22, 2022, from 1pm – 3pm with services to follow. His family invites everyone for a small dinner at the Moran Center in Lansing, OH immediately following the service.
