Dennis L. "Skip" Riley, 67, of Dillonvale, Ohio, passed Thursday August 28, 2014 at UPMC Pittsburgh. He was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on March 22, 1947, a son of the late George "Slats" and Louise Koutsky Riley. Skip was a lifelong employee of Riley Heating and Air; member of Dillonvale American Legion, McCook Post #529, former longtime member and officer of Dillonvale Fire Department; member of the American Roller Coaster Enthusiasts, a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church; a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a Purple Heart recipient. Skip is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Rosemarie (Balazsi) Riley, daughter: Colleen (Robert Jr.) Merriman of Wintersville, OH., grandchildren: Emily and Josh Merriman; brother: Ken (Barb) Riley, sister: Cheryl (Herman) DeYarmon; sister in law Betty Lou (Gary) Cefus, all of Dillonvale; nieces and nephews: Rennie, Mark, John, Scott, Aaron, Jeff, Michael. Friends will be received Monday 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, Ohio, where wake service will be held at 7:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday September 2, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Dillonvale, with Msgr. John C. Kolesar as celebrant.
