Denver T. Green, Sr., 81, of Martins Ferry, OH, went home to our Lord on May 16, 2017 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born April 2, 1936, in Martins Ferry, a son of the late Robert W. & Estella (Howard) Green.

Denver was a retired crane operator at the Martins Ferry plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp. with 42 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Martins Ferry.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith A. (Writer) Green whom he married in 1957, sons; Denver T. Green, Jr. & William W. Green, his brother, Robert Green and his sisters; Mary Palma and Marieta Kuntz.

He is survived by his son, Steven E. Green of Martins Ferry, his daughters; Linda Striker of Cadiz and Brenda Green of Lansing, his daughter-in-law, Carol Green of Rayland, OH, his sister, Rose Phillips of NC and his brother, James Green of NC, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH on Friday, May 19, 2017 from10:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm with Rev. Larry W. Lewis officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
