Derrill "Dave" Grimes, 77, of Fairview, Ohio, died Thursday, June 26, 2014 at his home. He was born December 19, 1936 in Fairview, Ohio, son of the late Charles H. Grimes and Wilma L. Hayes Grimes. Dave was a retired tool and die maker from the N.C.R. Plant in Cambridge. He was an avid golfer, also enjoying hunting; but most important was his family, as he was a very devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Miller and brother, Johnny Grimes. Dave is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nancy Thomas Grimes; son, Mike (Becky) Grimes of Salesville, Ohio; daughters, Dianna Stein Grimes of Old Washington, Ohio, Julie McEndree of Quaker City, Ohio; granddaughters, Meghan, Molly, Lauren, Emily, Maddy; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Emma, Zane; sisters, Arlene Watson, Sherry White both of Akron, Ohio, Vicky (Rick) Schnacke of Marietta, Georgia, Linda Wolfe of Boca Rotan, Florida; brothers, Gary (Beverly) Grimes of Senecaville, Ohio, Stanley (Sharlene) Grimes of Old Washington, Ohio, Kenny Grimes of Fairview, Ohio, Steve Grimes of Westerville, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit, Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m., until the time of service, beginning at 11 a.m., Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home/Patron Cremation Service, 702 E.
