Dominic Frank Palmer 84, of Bridgeport died Tuesday October 21, 2014 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born February 14, 1930 in Chester WV, a son of the late Nicholas and Theresa (Leto) Palmer. He was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Martins Ferry Plant with 39 years of service, a Veteran of the Korean War in the US Army, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Wolfhurst. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Anthony, Lonnie, Louis, Joseph, James, and Albert Palmer, sisters Mary, Rose, Jane, and Iris Palmer, and a granddaughter Dallas Dawn Pyle. Dom is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Barbara (Kesner) Pyle Palmer, children Joseph (Danna) Palmer of Martins Ferry, Judy (Bill) Morgan of Bellaire, Donald (Shelly) Pyle, Joseph (Jody) Pyle, and James (Mindy) Pyle all of Bridgeport, Dawn (John) Seckman of St. Clairsville, a brother John Palmer of Martins Ferry, nine grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Friday October 24, 2014 from 2 till time of service at 6 pm, with Rev. Michael A. Palmer officiating.
