Donald L. Belcher , 92, of Mingo Junction died Friday April 4, 2008 surrounded by his loving family at his home. He was born August 4, 1915, in Lore City, OH a son of the late James L. and Josie Sarah Perkins Belcher. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and the Mingo Junction Knights of Columbus He was employed by Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel as a weigh master and yard checker. In addition to his parents Don was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Belcher and six sisters, Mary German, Grace Widmayer, Stella Ray, Bessie Harris, Sheila Belcher and Pearl Bowman. Surviving are his wife of sixty six years, Mary R. Colabella Belcher, a daughter Mary Sheila Locascio (Belcher), a granddaughter Dawn Laffey and her husband Brian of Westerville, OH, three great grandsons, Jakob, Joshua and Joseph Laffey, also many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday at the Blaschalk-Wilson Funeral Home, 115 Union Ave. Mingo Junction, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where a vigil service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Father James Dunfee as celebrant.
