Donald A. Davison, 87, of Elm St., Martins Ferry, OH died Sat., Aug. 21, 2004 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born July 16, 1917 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Francis and Lillian (Ware) Davison. He was retired owner and operator of Davison Electric for 37 years, a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Elk Club, former Lion's Club, former Chairman of the Board for Citizen Saving Bank, and also former Board of Directors for East Ohio Regional Hospital all of Martins Ferry, and a Merchant Marines WW II. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Charles Davison and two sisters Kathryn Sommer and Lillian Huntsman. Surviving are his wife of 61 yrs Marjorie (James) Davison, two sons James Davison and his wife Robin of Monroe, GA and Kenneth Davison and his wife Linda of St. Clairsville, two daughters Bonnie Cook and her husband Robert and Kathryn Edwards and her husband Howell both of Martins Ferry, four grandchildren Jeffrey Edwards of Massillon, OH, Douglas Edwards of Tampa, FL, Greg and Kate Davison both of St Clairsville. Friends will be received Mon. 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Tues., Aug. 24, 2004, at 10:30 AM with Rev. Dr. Bill Lawrence officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Association or American Diabetes Association.
