Donald Jason "Chatters" Devore Sr., 79, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, passed Tuesday January 1, 2013 at Life Line Hospital, Wintersville. He was born in Mingo Junction on October 13, 1933, a son of the late James and Katherine Devore. He worked as a plasterer and was a U.S. Marine Veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Chuck, Herb, Jack, Jimmy and Fred Devore; a sister Frances; a son Steve Devore; two granddaughters: Inae Heatherington and Michelle Foster; a grandson James Elliott Jr., and a great-grandson Jesse Harper. Donald is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Shirley Mozingo Devore; a son Donald Devore Jr. of Mingo Junction; daughters: Pattie (John) Heatherington of Fla., Donna (Peter) Salerno of Chicago, IL, Carol (Paul) Gross of Unionport, OH., : Brenda (Bill) Monroe of Steubenville, Shirley (Ronald) Majewski of Weirton,WV. Bobbie Jo (James) Elliott of Weirton, WV., sisters: Catherine Devore and Rose Butler; brothers: Bob and Ritchie Devore; a daughter in law Wanitta Devore; 21 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
