Donald E. "Donnie" Cunningham, 86, of Martins Ferry, OH died Friday, November 29, 2019 in UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. He was born May 16, 1933 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Russell B. and Eva Mae (Cecil) Cunningham.

Donnie was a retired pharmaceutical buyer and narcotic manager for Cardinal Health. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Ohio River Valley Elks Lodge #231 both of Martins Ferry and the American Legion Post 888 of Delaware, OH. He was a veteran of U.S. Army National Guard.

Donnie camped for over 23 years at Seneca Lake with all of his friends and loved fishing on his pontoon boat.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Russell L. Cunningham.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 55 years, E. Joanne (Rayl) Cunningham, his nieces: Carol (Tom) Miller of Colerain, OH and Lois Johnson of Mooresville, NC, his nephew, Charles (Marie) Rayl of Carrabelle, FL, seven great nieces and nephews and 4 great grand nieces and nephews and his best friends: Brenda and Mark Roe and Bonnie and Greg Bunch.

Family and friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where services will be held Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. William O. Webster officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.

Military honors will be presented by Belmont County Veteran's Association on Saturday at 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
