Donald A. Gossett, 90, of Bethesda, Ohio died Friday, October 12, 2012 at Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab. He was born July 27, 1922 in Oco (Union Township), Ohio, son of the late John Paul Gossett and Martha Belle Lyle Gossett. Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II, as a Sergeant in Company B, 35th Infantry. He worked as a dairy farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Pauline Conley Gossett, who died October 24, 1972; sister, Martha Marie Gossett; brothers, Lyle (Dorothy), Walter "Dutch" (Louise), and Gerald Gossett; brother-in-law, Mark Hardman; and sister-in-law, Merle Gossett. Donald is survived by his children, Dennis (Carolyn) Gossett of Bethesda, Ohio, Gayle (Robert) Murphy of Flushing, Ohio, and Donald (Diane) Gossett of Avella, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Dennis, Grant, Bradley, Sarah,Donald, Neil, and Joellen Gossett, Robert and Brian Murphy, Jennifer Arnold, Lesa Schmidt, Amanda Tracy, Emily Schlechty; great-grandchildren, Paul, Stephanie, Rilee, Grant (II), and Logan Gossett, Lucas, Amber, Samantha, and Wyatt Murphy, Christopher, Issac, and Zachary Toohey, Alexa Brown, and Anna Schmidt; step great-grandchildren, Meghan McHugh and Gage McEndre; sister, Ella Hardman; brothers, John Gossett and William (Macella) Gossett; and sister-law, Violet Gossett. Friends may visit, Monday 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio. Pastor Ted Buehl will be officiating.
