Donald E. Jackson, Sr. Donald E. Jackson, Sr., 73, of Reservoir Hill Rd., Flushing, OH formerly of Martins Ferry, OH died Mon., Jun. 9, 2003 at home. He was born Aug. 7, 1929 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Isaiah J. and Hazel M. Davis Jackson. He retired from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as a warehouse foreman and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Korean War. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Anna (Cassels) Jackson and two brothers Kenneth and Robert Jackson. Surviving are a son Donald E. Jackson, Jr. and his wife Cynthia of Flushing, a brother James H. Jackson of Bridgeport, a sister Roberta Stewart and her husband David of Smithfield, and four grandchildren Andrea (Scott) Ware, Olivia (Rhett) Henrich, Donald E. (Jessica) Jackson,III, and Tiffany L. Jackson, three great grandchildren Spencer and Sterling Ware, and Emil Henrich. Friends will be received Thur.. 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Fri. at 11:00 AM with Pastor Gary W. Smith officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove with full military graveside honors by the Belmont Co. Council of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
