Donald F. Lutz, Sr., 74, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born November 16, 1945 in Martins Ferry a son of the late John "Paul" Lutz and Thelma A. (Miller) Lutz Bauknecht.

Don retired from Ormet Corp. after 42 years service, was a Catholic, and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings: David, Charles, Gene, Gary, Robert and Jack Lutz.

Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Nancy L. (Church) Lutz, children: Lisa (Ronnie) Durrah of Sherrard, WV, Michelle (John) Tucker of Zanesville, OH, Charlie (Jamie) Lutz of Columbus, OH, Donnie (Gladys) Lutz of Lake Forest, CA, Jay (Karlie) Hores of Martins Ferry, OH and Amber (Kevin Jones) Lutz of Wellsburg, WV, grandchildren: Elizabeth, Isaiah, Emily, Landyn, Cloe, Emma, Maddie, Cory, Ely, Erron, Camden, Johnny, Ella, Bella, Eva, Peyton, Noah, Cheyenne, Dasyn, Canon, and Chase, great grandchildren: Kynslea, Grayson, Brayden, Bentley, and Kyden, siblings: Mark (Polly) Lutz of Columbus, OH, Richard (Mary) Lutz, Albert (Shelly) Lutz, Thomas Lutz, and Mary Kaye (Jim) Markus all of Martins Ferry and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry with Rev. Tom Marut officiating.

Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry with full military honors by the Belmont County Veteran's Assoc.
