Donald F. Perkins, 87, of Belmont, Ohio, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at his home. He was born June 2, 1925 in Alledonia, Ohio, son of the late Forest D. Perkins and Alice L. Church Perkins. Donald was a member of Bethesda Christian Church. He retired from Consol Energy where he had worked as an equipment operator. His passion, for many years, was working as a farmer. He had a great love of family and treasured his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. People would stop by on a daily basis, just to enjoy Donald's friendship and comradery. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois I. Arick Perkins; grandson, Douglas Blaney; and brother, Gerald Perkins. Donald is survived by his three daughters, Carol (Phil) Bolon and Cathy (Charles) Patterson all of Bethesda, Ohio, and Connie (Randal) Blaney of Vincent, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Fred (Debbie) Perkins of Belmont, Ohio; step-mother, Bernadine Perkins of Belmont, Ohio; numerous extended family members; and special friend, Martha McCabe. Family and friends may visit, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., at Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio.
