Donald L. Winland, 81, of Bridgeport, OH, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH. He was born March 24, 1931 in Colerain, OH, a son of the late John and Opal (Miller) Winland. Don retired from the Yorkville Plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. He was a member of the Colerain Presbyterian Church, Colerain Senior Citizens Center and a past member of the Colerain Ruritan Club. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Wilbur B. Winland and a sister Mildred Winland Hood. Surviving are his wife of 57 years Katherine M. (Green) Winland, three daughters; Marcie (Kevin) Wilson, Peggy (Jim) Mehlman and Karen (Ralph) King all of Bridgeport, seven grandchildren; Jared and Darek Wilson, James and Parker Mehlman and Joshua, Courtney and Nicole King. Friends will be received at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Tuesday 4-8 pm and Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 from 11:00 am until time of services at 1:00 pm with Pastor Joe Ellis officiating.
