Donald D. Woodland, 80, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born November 15, 1931 in Barnesville, Ohio, son of the late Adelbert H. Woodland and Lucille B. Goodhart Woodland.
A life resident of Barnesville, Donald worked as a Line Technician for Ohio Bell. He was a member of First Christian Church of Barnesville, Barnesville Elks, Barnesville Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Barnesville American Legion. Donald proudly served his country in the United States Navy, during the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ellen Jane Woodland and his brother, Robert H. Woodland.
Donald is survived by his wife of 55 years, Toby Ann Phillips Woodland; sons, Craig (Kaye) Woodland of Coshocton, Ohio and Bruce (Carolyn) Woodland of Bethesda, Ohio; daughter, Linda Woodland of Barnesville, Ohio; brothers, Richard (Shirley) Woodland of Maumee, Ohio and Daniel (Betty) Woodland of Mansfield, Ohio; grandchildren, Jennifer Woodland, Jeremy (Jean) Woodland, Becky (Brandon) Eddy, Bethany Wayble, Kristen (CJ) Woodland, and Joey Woodland; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Bryson, and Gracie;
Family and friends may call, Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. at Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Homes. 702 East Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Reverend Gene Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda, Ohio.
Barnesville Veterans of Foreign Wars will conduct a military service at 12:45 p.m.
