DONALD L. ZANI, 74, of St. Clairsville, died Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at his home. He was born May 30, 1934 and was a lifelong resident of Belmont County. His parents were the late Ralph and Lenora (Bayles) Zani. Don was a retired iron worker with the Iron Workers Local 549 in Wheeling. He was a graduate of St. John Central High School in Bellaire and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956. Don is survived by his wife Patricia (George) Zani of St. Clairsville; two sons Donald and his wife Renee of St. Clairsville and David and his wife Maya of Houston, TX; two daughters Mary Grover and her husband Brian of Raleigh, NC and Ann Sloand of Gastonia, NC; a brother R. Thomas Zani and his wife Lucille of Bridgeport; two sisters Bernadine Raicevich and her husband Mike of Willoughby Hills, OH and Kathy Maroon and her husband Abbey of St. Clairsville; eleven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday 6 - 8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, where Vigil services will be held at 6 pm. We will then gather Monday at 10 am for the Funeral Liturgy with Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville, with Father Anthony Batt and Monsignor George Coyne concelebrating. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
