Donna Jean (Santone) Vilano, 74 of Martins Ferry passed away peacefully Thursday, February 23, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born April 27, 1948, the daughter of the late William and Angeline (Varagliotti) Santone.

Donna was the owner and operator of "Studio 507 Hair Salon," and for 38 years she cheerfully and loyally served her customers.  She loved the energy of a shop full of people, and the part she valued the most were the friendships that were created over the years.  Donna's small business was a pillar in the community and a hub of activity for those who enjoyed stopping in, whether it was for a full hair service or just a quick hello.  She always made everyone feel welcome there.

Anyone who knew Donna or spent even a few minutes with her would easily gain a new friend.  Her infectious smile, warm laugh, and optimistic personality were magnetic.  You could feel the love and kindness of her soul.  Her positive outlook on life was deeply inspired by her Christian faith, and she accepted Jesus into her life as she was reborn in the spirit over 30 years ago.  This marked a significant turning point in her journey, and she rejoiced in the presence of God in her daily life.  Donna touched so many lives, and she made a real difference in this world.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Darin (Erin) Vilano of Pittsburgh, Michael (Nikki) Vilano, and Rachel Vilano both of Martins Ferry, Grandchildren; Connor, Carson, Michael II, Giuseppe, Antonio, Angelina and Sergio Vilano, Great-grandchildren; George Smith, Michael III, Oliver, Emi, and Elora Vilano, brother; Tony Santone of Athens, Ohio.

Family and friends will be received Wednesday, March 1, 2023, from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Wilson Funeral Home-Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, Ohio and on Thursday, March 2, 2023, from 10 till time of service at 11am, Interment to follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
