Doris M. (Hensel) Lucas, 85, of Erin Lane, Westlawn, Martins Ferry, OH died Sat., Mar. 31, 2007 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born Mar. 3, 1922 in New Matamoras, OH a daughter of the late Elmer and Pearl (Langsdorf) Hensel. She was retired from the former Clevite-Gould Industries, Lansing, OH and a member of the First Christian Church, Martins Ferry. Doris was also active in the Colerain Senior Center. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde John Lucas, and a sister Ruby Hensel. Surviving are two sons James R. (Jo) Lucas of Tiltonsville, OH and Gary B. (Robin) Lucas of Martins Ferry, OH, two daughters Vicki (David) Beazel and Kim Tracey both of Martins Ferry, two brothers James "Sonny" Hensel and Walter (Ellen) Hensel both of New Matamoras, twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Friends will be received Mon. 2- 4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry where services will be held Tues., Apr. 3, 2007 at 2:00 PM with Minister Rod Kasler officiating.
