Doris R. (Plumby) Miklik, 87, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Belmont Manor Nursing Home, St. Clairsville, OH. She was born Nov. 19, 1928 in Martins Ferry, a daughter of the late Philip Plumby, Sr. and Rose (Sabatine) Plumby. She retired from AT&T Billing Dept. Doris was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Martins Ferry where she sang in the choir for many years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Miklik and her brother, Donald Plumby. Surviving are her brother, Philip Plumby of Yorkville, OH, her sister-in-law, Ginny Plumby of Lebanon, PA, her nephews and nieces; Donna Griffith and Michael (Ann) Plumby both of Lebanon, PA, David Plumby of Wheeling, WV and Glenn (Natalie) Plumby of Beaver Creek, OH and several great nephews and nieces. Family and friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Friday, July 1, 2016, from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 20 N. 4th St., Martins Ferry, OH with Rev. Tom Marut officiating. Burial follows in St. Mary's Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
