Doris L. (Youngman) Stobbs, 86, of Colerain, OH, passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. She was born June 21, 1926 in Martins Ferry, OH the daughter of the late Alphonso R. and Mary (Dobson) Youngman. Doris grew up in Tiltonsville, OH along with her late brothers Alphonso "Tubby" and William "Billy" Youngman. Upon graduating from high school she worked as a secretary for her late husband Henry A. Stobbs at the Yorkville Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. She was a member of the Colerain Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder, Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, sang in the choir and was secretary of the Friendly Circle Class. Doris was a member of the Bridgeport Chapter #452 O.E.S., Past Worthy Matron of the former Emera Chapter O.E.S., Blue Bells, Belmont Co. Farm Bureau, Farm Bureau Women's Committee, Naturalist Club of Oglebay and Friendly League. She loved church, music, bowling and spending time with her family. Doris leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved children; Artina "Tina" (Dr. Charles) DeNunzio, Darlene (Jon) Walro, Debra (Carl) Carpenter, Randy (Marlene) Stobbs and Linda and Lisa Stobbs, grandchildren; Chad (Fiancé Kelly Hynes) Bolon, Brandon (Serena) Bolon, Shane (Danielle) Bolon, Derek Walro, Kelsey and Kylee Carpenter, Miranda (Zach) Frye, Reann, and Jessa Stobbs, great-grandchildren; Caitlin, Jordan, Carter, Cooper, Grayson, Cole, Gage and Delaney Bolon and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday, 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH. Family and friends will also be received Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 at the Colerain Presbyterian Church, Colerain, OH, 10 am until time of services at 11:00 am with Pastor Joe Ellis officiating. Burial follows at Belmont Co. Memorial Park, St. Clairsville, OH. Eastern Star services will be held Tuesday at 6:30 pm in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Colerain Presbyterian Church, 71780 Colerain St., Colerain, OH 43916.
