DOROTHY C. CLARK, 70, of Grant Ave., Martins Ferry, died Monday, October 19, 2009 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born June 21, 1939 in Wheeling, the daughter of the late Earl and Laura (Groppe) Nolte. Dorothy was a retired dispatcher with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, St. Clairsville Post, and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sgt. James Clark, Sr., former Assistant Post Commander for the Ohio State Highway Patrol in St. Clairsville. Also preceding her death are her son James Clark, Jr. and two brothers Jack and Ken Nolte. Dorothy is survived by a son Gary Clark and his wife Lori of Martins Ferry; a daughter Kimberly Clark of Mt. Pleasant; a sister Katherine ""Kitty"" Glatzer and her husband Charles of Colerain; five grandchildren Brenton, Bryan, Emily and Christopher Clark and Caitlin Jones; as well as a great grandson Dominick Clark; Visitation will be Thursday 6-8 pm and Friday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 am with Reverend Phillip Van Dam officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling. Memorial contributions may be made to any Pittsburgh Steelers charity of the donors' choice.
