Dorothy V. Mills Dorothy V. Cleary Mills, 86, formerly of Wayne Hayes Towers, Martins Ferry, OH died Wed., Nov. 13, 2002 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Long Term Care, Martins Ferry. She was born Nov. 10, 1916 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Edward M. and Lottie M. Stipes Cleary. She was retired from the Belmont Metropolitan Housing Authority and a member of the First U. Methodist Church and the AARP all of Martins Ferry. Dorothy was a charter member of both the Martins Ferry Fire Dept. Auxiliary and Martins Ferry Eagles Aerie #456 Auxiliary. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth L. Mills in 1973, two brothers James and Charles Cleary, and five sisters Lillian Jones, Betty Graves, Nancy Jean Cleary, Ruth Moran, and an infant sister. Surviving are a son Ken L. Mills and his wife Deborah Melko Mills of Atlanta, GA, a grandson Jeremiah D. "Jake" Mills currently stationed with the US Navy on the aircraft carrier USS/JFK, Jacksonville, FL, two brothers William Cleary of Martins Ferry and Edward Cleary of Atlanta, GA, and three sisters Patricia Hamlin of Martins Ferry, Matilda Biggs of Wellsburg, WV, and Carolyn McKean of Steubenville. Friends will be received Fri. 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Sat., Nov. 16, 2002 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Van D. Fisher officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry.
