Dorothy J. Snyder, 88, of Martins Ferry, OH died Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born February 14, 1923 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Raymond L. and Marie (Marble) Coleman. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. "Pete" Snyder, a grandson Chad R. Davies, and two brothers Raymond and Donald Coleman. Surviving are her daughter Janie (John) Davies, a son John C. Snyder, and a brother Richard "Dick" (Muriel) Coleman all of Martins Ferry, three grandchildren Christy (George) Shreve, Tiffany (Gary) Misenhelder and Tara Snyder, and three great grandchildren Sarah, Natalie, and Nate Shreve. Private burial will be held at convenience of the family in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry with Rev. William O. Webster officiating.
