Dorothy Jean (Davis) Briggs, 74, of Colerain, OH died Monday, Dec. 25, 2006 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. She was born May 23, 1932 in Martins Ferry the daughter of Augustus C. and Dorothy V. (Henschel) Davis. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Martins Ferry, the National Quilters Assoc., American Quilters Society, Ft. Henry Piecemakers of Wheeling, Mt. Olivet Quilters, and Bridgeport Chapter #452 Order of Eastern Star. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Robert C. Davis. Surviving are her husband of 44 years Charles W. "Bill" Briggs, a son Charles W. Briggs, II of Colerain, and a brother Arthur C. Davis of Reynoldsburg, OH. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
