Dorothy F. (Eiler) West Horcher Mingo, 85, formerly of N. Zane Hwy., Martins Ferry, OH died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Long Term Care, Martins Ferry. She was born Sept. 27, 1923 in Chester, WV a daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Hess) Eiler. She was a member of the First U. Methodist Church of Martins Ferry where she served as an officer of the United Methodist Women for many years. Dorothy was also a member of the former Eagles Auxiliary Aerie # 456. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Denzil West, her second husband Raymond Horcher, and her third husband John Mingo, three brothers Louis, Vince, and Fred Eiler, and a sister Meada Furbee. Surviving are three sons Vincent "Ben" (Sandy) West of Martins Ferry, Frank (Sandy) West of Willow Springs, NC, and Jerry West of Bridgeport, OH, a daughter Donna (Lee) Powers of Granger, IN, two brothers Willard Eiler of Pleasant Grove, OH and George (Gayle) Eiler of Olustee, OK, nine grandchildren Stacey West Longenette, Vince West, Natalie Eddy, David Yoder, Julie Gordon, Brook and Justin West, Jenna Stallard, and Aaron West, 13 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009 at 11:00 am with Rev. Van D.
