Dorothy A."Dottie" Fietz, 71, of Martins Ferry died Friday, August 19, 2011 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. She was born September 30, 1939 a daughter of the late Bernard W. and Frances M. (Savelsburg) Fietz. Dottie was employed with J.W. Stenger Trucking, Barnesville, OH. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Senior Center and a 50 year member of Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority all of Martins Ferry. Dottie was an avid bridge player and Steelers fan. Surviving are her daughter Jennifer L. (Fiancé Tom DeVaul) Fietz and her sister Mary Louise Fietz all of Martins Ferry, OH Friends will be received Saturday 6-8 pm and Sunday 12-3 pm and 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Monday, August 22, 2011 at 10:00 am with Rev. William O. Webster officiating. Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville, OH. Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority services will be held Sunday at 7:00 pm in the funeral home.
