Holmes, Dorothy Jean, 77, of Dillonvale, died Wednesday April 25, 2012 at Acuity Specialty Hospital Bellaire. She was born September 27, 1934 in Bridgeport, a daughter of the late John and Catherine Brestle Conway. She was a retired employee of the Iron Workers Union #549, the Order of the Eastern Star Bridgeport Chapter, and the Boy Scouts of America, also a Methodist by faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in deat5h by her loving husband Freeman Holmes Jr. Dorothy is survived by a son John Holmes and his wife Tammy of Dillonvale, grandchildren John Charles Holmes, and Brandi Dawn Holmes-Woodland, and great grandchildren Adam Siles and Ryan Eli Kuri. There will be no visitation and private interment will be at Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove. Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside is assisting the family.
