Dorothy E. Martin 90 of Adena went to be with her loving husband John on Monday September 10, 2012 at Autumn Health Care of Adena. She was born October 21, 1921 in Bellaire, Ohio a daughter of the late Wilbur and Nora (Hess) Johnson. She was a protestant by faith, and loved to garden, the former owner of Dot's Ceramic Shop in Pleasant Grove, she adored her grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and her great grand dogs. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband John L. Martin in 2011, a brother Ollie Johnson and sisters Zelda Blon, Ann Benda, and Grace Caraway, a son-in-law Tom Griffith. Dorothy is survived by a daughter Linda Griffith of Adena, a brother Harvey Johnson of Shadyside, three sister-in-laws Rose Martin, Lil McFarland, and Freda Brandon, two grandchildren J.T. (Shannon) Stubbs Griffith, and Stephan (Melissa) Griffith, two great grandchildren Corissa Lynn and Shane Thomas Griffith, and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove Mausoleum on Thursday September 13, 2012 from 1pm till time of graveside service at 2 pm with Rev. Wilfred Simeral officiating, entombment to follow. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Harrisville Vol. Fire Dept.
